Elopements invite a slower pace, one that leaves room for presence, movement, and emotion. I photograph elopements in the Grand Tetons using a thoughtful blend of digital, 35mm film, and Super 8, choosing each medium intentionally based on the rhythm of the day and the landscape you’re moving through.
Film pairs beautifully with elopements in the Tetons. With fewer distractions and a more intentional pace, film allows for a deliberate approach, capturing quiet exchanges, subtle gestures, and the texture of the landscape with depth and softness. The Tetons’ open valleys, dramatic light, and ever-changing weather lend themselves naturally to film, especially during intimate, outdoor ceremonies.

Super 8 brings elopements to life through motion. Wind moving through the trees, boots on a trail, laughter carrying across the valley. Super 8 preserves the feeling of being there in a way still images can’t. Super 8 is especially meaningful for elopements in the Grand Tetons, outdoor ceremonies, hikes, and unstructured timelines where the experience matters just as much as the visuals.
Together, digital, film, and Super 8 allow your elopement to be documented honestly and unobtrusively, preserving not just how it looked, but how it felt.
